Great Barrier Reef diving
Great Barrier Reef diving is a rush for any person who has ever donned
a wetsuit. If you would like to go to the Great Barrier Reef, there
are perhaps some things you should know before you go.
One of the most interesting things to people who dive the Great Barrier
Reef is how many different kinds of animals there are in that area.
There are in the Great Barrier Reef: 1,500 species of fish; 400 species
of corals; 4,000 species of mollusks; 500 species of seaweed; 215 species
of birds; 16 species of sea snake; 6 species of sea turtle; and more.
One of the animals many people are interested in seeing whilst Great
Barrier Reef diving is a shark. Despite this, very few tourists come
into contact with sharks. In all actuality, they should consider themselves
lucky. Contrary to popular belief, most sharks are quite timid and do
not spend a lot of time around people.
Another of the things that people who visit this area do is purchase
underwater identification cards that they can use while deep sea diving.
With these cards, they are able to identify the fish they are seeing.
Of course, with more than 1,500 different kinds of fish, the process
may not be easy.
Great Barrier Reef diving is one of the destinations that people who
spend any time at all deep sea diving always look forward to. The trip
could be a little bit expensive and it may require some advance planning.
But if you ask anybody who has ever taken this trip, it would be hard
to find anyone who said the time and money was not worth it.
